My Rigorous Efforts in Improving English Listening, Writing, Reading and Speaking Skills

In the era of modernization and industrialization,English becomes very crucial. English is used all over the world and happen to be an international language. So,everyone has to be good in English in order to communicate with other people all around the world.

English consists of listening, writing, reading and speaking. One should master in all these aspects in order to be fluent in English. There are many ways that we can take with the purpose to be master in English.

I,as a student,need to have rigorous efforts in improving English. I am doing my best to improve English. I always listen to other people when they are speaking. For instance,I like watching English programmes,I always observe and listen carefully to what they are saying. I try to train myself to not read the Malay subtitle. This will help me to improve my English. Other than that,I also listen to English songs and I will try to understand the lyrics.

In addition,I always read newspapers such as The Star and also New Straits Time. I read and try to remember some good sentences,then I will apply in my writing. This kind of action can help me to improve my writing skill.I also read English novels especially investigation novels.I love investigation very much.I will jot down good examples and then use them in my writing or speaking.

Speaking skills is very substantial because it is used to communicate with other people.If we are not good in speaking,we will find it is very difficult to talk and explain something to other people.Moreover,if we use incorrect term of language,our message will not clearly understood by the listener.That is why speaking skill is vital.I always speak with my friends in order to improve my speaking.I do not care whether my grammar is correct or not,as long as I speak and my friends can get my message.

That all my rigorous efforts in improving my English listening,writing,reading and also speaking skills.I hope will those efforts,I can master this language.

My Eid Experience

Today is the most waited day for all children because they will get a lot of money.During Eid festive,many people will give money to their children.For me,the one who is getting older,Eid is no longer become interesting like when I were young.

For the previous Eid celebrations,I always felt very excited because I could get many money,eat many cookies and also visit many houses.The excitement that I felt kept decreasing as I become older.This is because I couldn't get many money anymore.People only give money to the children.

My Eid routine for every year is just the same.When I woke up in the morning of Eid,I will go to the mosque with my family to perform Eid prayer.After that we will headed to the graveyard to visit our beloved person who already went far away from us.Then,we will go to Melor,which is a place where all of my relatives gather.I felt quite happy to be there because I can meet all my relatives.It is like a big family gather all together.

Then,we return home.The tiredness is began.My sister and I need to prepare all the food and drinks for visitors. It is quite tough for us.Many relatives and neighbours come to my house.For this year,my mother cooked mee curry.It was very delicious.I really love my mom's cooks.

On the next day,I just sat at home.I did not go anywhere.Suddenly,my friend told me that my teacher did an open house today.So,I quickly get dressed,and went to the teacher's house.On my way there,my friend told me again that her house is empty.I felt so frustrated.Then,I went to my friend's house.

On the third day,I went to my friend's house and then took her to my other friend.The three of us went to an open house at our friend's house.I went home quite late on that day.Luckily my mom was not too angry with me.I came late because I was stuck in a very heavy traffic jam.On that night,I felt very tired and went to bed early.

On the next days,some of my friends came to my house.I felt very excited because we had not see each other for a quite long time.

I do not really like this year celebration because I have a lot of assignments.I really hate this thing.Why students need to have assignments that they need to do during their holidays?They also want to feel the excitement of holiday.I cannot really enjoyed my Eid because of these assignments.I also need to study for final exam.I do not feel the real holiday.I was so sad and frustrated.

Although this Eid did not really enjoyful to me,I still felt happy because I can still celebrate Eid festive in Malaysia.

Different Aspects of Culture

Malaysia is known as a peaceful country with various races live in with harmonic and without any problems. The major is Malay,followed by Chinese,Indian,Kadazan,Iban and many more.Each of these races has its own unique culture.I will talk about these different cultures that exist in Malaysia.


The Malay people has many unique and attractive culture.Malays have been tough about the politeness and good behaviours since they were young.While Chinese has been tough about discipline since they were young.That is why Chinese are more punctual and well-disciplined than Malays and other races.


Malay has its own culture in doing the marriage ceremony,celebrating any occasions,traditional dance, traditional games and so on.For instance,Tarian Zapin,Tarian Kuda Kepang,Ulit Mayang and many more.Examples for traditional games are such as gasing,congkak,wau,sepak raga and also batu seremban.On other hand,Chinese also has many cultures.They have Tarian Naga,Chinese New Year,Cap Goh Meh and many more.During any festivals,Malaysians will visit each other without thinking about the different races and religion.

As a conclusion,although Malaysians have different culture with each other,they still can live in harmony and full with peace.

Work,Attitudes and Beliefs,and Social Changes

Based on Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary,work means to do something that involves physical or mental effort. Work is a job that we get base on our achievement in previous studies or base on our experience.

People choose their job according to their achievements,attitudes and also their beliefs. There are some people that cannot work if the job is not suitable with their attitudes.Attitude means the way of behaving towards something or somebody that shows how is the feeling and the thought about it.

Beliefs also become one of the aspects that we need to consider when choosing job. This is because our beliefs are something that we hold and we will follow our beliefs in everything we do.We cannot do something that is against with our beliefs.For example,our beliefs are such as our custom that we have been followed since we were young.Job like prostitute is definitely against with our custom.So,that mean beliefs influenced someone when choosing job.

When talking about job,it relates with many things.Sometimes we overwork and this can cause pressure.This things will happen when we are too obsess in getting money.So,we will work very hard in order to get more money.When we reach the limit,we will get stress and this will cause pressure.The other reason is people work because of salaries,not because of our intention or our enthusiasm.This will make us feel stress with that job because we are doing something that we do not want to do.So,we must choose our job according to our interest and not because of salaries.

Our social lives will definitely change when we entering the job world.We need to meet many people with various attitudes and behaviours.We must know how to deal with this situation.We have to mingle with them in a very good manner so that many people will like and have a believe in us.This will make our job become easier and we will work with excitement and no pressure.So,we must be very good in social.

As the conclusion,we have to be good in attitudes and social so that we will enjoy our job and can stay away from pressure

Money (Financial Matters) and Natural Resources

According to Wikipedia,the definition for money is
any good or token that functions as a medium of exchange that is socially and legally accepted in payment for goods and services and in settlement of debts.Money is really difficult to get. We must have a job and after working very hard,then we will get our money. Money becomes very important nowadays. Some people say that we cannot live without money. Everything in this world must be paid except the natural resources.

We must know how to manage our money so that money will always with us.If we do not manage our money well,we will have a difficulty to live.We will start borrowing money from others.This will add problem for us and not solve the problem.We have to have sistematic budget and then we must make sure it will run like clorkwork.

Natural resources are such as air,water,soil,solar and many more. We can use them in daily life without spending any money.We can save our budget if we use solar power as the source of electricity.But solar power has its own weakness because it cannot be used all the time.So,we cannot fully depend on solar power in order to generate electricity.We must try to find some ways in order to cut our budget.We must come with brilliant plan in managing money.We can use our soil to plant vegetables or fruit trees.This can save our money.Moreover,this way is safer because we ourselves plant the plants.

As the conclusion,we can use our natural resources in our life to save our money.We also need to be good in managing our money if we do not want to put ourselves in problems.

I Have A Dream

I believe that everyone in this world has his own dream. In conjunction with our 50th anniversary of Independence Day, I have a dream which I wish will come true.
I have a dream. A dream to live in this country which is full with tranquility for the rest of my life. I am very thankful to live in this country. Although Malaysia is a peaceful country, yet it had passed through a very hard situation before gaining this freedom. I do not feel being in a dependence country because I was born after our country gets its freedom. So, I cannot feel the difficulty living in dependence country.
Teenagers nowadays are very lack of patriotism. This is due to the reason they do not feel the hardship living in dependence country. So, they do not really appreciate the freedom that we have. I am very worry for this situation because they will become our future leaders. If they do not have the patriotism, what will happen to our country? I think our country might become dependence again.
I have a dream. A dream to see our generation with no more social problems. As we can see, there are plenty of our nations that indulge in social problems such as illegal racing, drug addicted, free sex and also in crimes. How we can handle this situation in order to overcome it? Who should we blame for this situation? Parents, government, community or the person himself? I personally think that all of them are guilty because they do not unite in order to fight with these problems. So, in conjunction with our 50th anniversary of Independence Day, let us unite and solve these problems. Do not only blame one side without doing any actions.
I have a dream. A dream to have no more bribery among the politicians and high-class people. I do not want to hear the fight among themselves. I want to have a country which is free from bribe. So, our country will be more peaceful than before.
I have a dream. A dream to see the relationship among the diverse races in our country will always in good condition. This is very important because we have various of races in our country,so we need to have a very good bond among us. If we do not unite,our country will become caos and unsecure. In addition,it will make easier for the attackers to attack our country. I do not want the horrible tragedy that happened on 16th of May 1969 will occur again.
As the conclusion, I do hope that my dream will become a reality. I also hope that our generations have the same dream with me. So, we can unite together to make it true and not a dream anymore.

The Way People Live Together And Share Of The World's Resources

There are many resources that we can absorb from this world. All the nations around the world are sharing the same resources for everytime,everyday and everywhere they are. That resources are such as air,water,land,forest and many more. So,we must learn the best way to live together and share this world's resources.
Air is the one of important resources that we need to live. We share the air with all people around the world. So,we must take a very good care of it and prevent it from being polluted. If we live in polluted air,we will be in trouble. Unfortunetely,we do not only destroy ourselves,but also other creatures. Air is a gift from God for us to breath. We use air in everytime we breathe.
Like we can see nowadays,the air become more polluted from day to day. Can you imagine what will happen in the next 50 years if the air that we use for today is already polluted? We must think about our generations' lives in future.
Land and forest are other substancial resources that we need. Land is the place where we step on while forest is the source of oxygen that we use to breath. Forest also provides food and some mant things that we use for everyday such as houses,furniture,papers and many more. The forest currently decreasing because of the greediness of some people in getting what they want. They destroy forest with the reason to develope their countries. Thus,it is our responsibility to stop these people from destroying our forest.
God prepared 2/3 water from the earth for us. Water is very important for us. We cannot live without water. Like others,water also already polluted today.
Actually,there are lack of awareness among us in keeping our resources so that it will always in the best condition. We must instil the good education in our young generation to take care of our resources and also the best way how to live together. It is important to inject awareness when they are still young. For us,we must change our attitude and must have the awareness taking care of the world and become role model for our young generations.
